Welcome Back to My Love Affair with Food

How are you all? I am slowly making way back. 

So for those of you that weren't following me before, I have a number of categories I grade. Also, I grade them in foodgasms. 

No offense to those that know, but what is a foodgasm?

TOP DEFINITION

foodgasm

This is what occurs when you are eating a particularly enticing food. You get so excited to eat it you practically orgasm, thus resulting in a foodgasm. Some instances of this may include:
1. Becoming weak in the knees
2. Eyes rolling back in head and moaning while possibly shouting "this is so fucking good!!"
3. Taste so overwhelming you have to take breaks between bites to keep from shutting your system down.

The smooth taste and texture of the turkey swiss Potbelly sandwich was enough for Ronny to have multiple foodgasms.

So now that we got that out of the way. There is always someone that certain things are new to. Those that have gone on a foodie date with me have witnessed me in a foodgasm. It is pretty much a sexual experience/reaction with food. There is food to sustain me and there is food to satisfy me. Sometimes, they are one in the same.

A food venue can earn up to five foodgasms per category.

Categories of Grading:

1. Location - is it easy to find and is the area safe;

2. Menu - how easy is it to navigate? Is easy to pick what you want? I don't like over complicated menus, where it takes me 45 minutes to make a decision.

3. Customer Service - do I really need to explain?

4. Appearance - does it look appealing or even sexy?

5. Smell - Now many times I can begin a foodgasm smelling my food.

6. Taste - For me can I get a sense of the different levels in each bite. And does the taste change with each bite.

7. The Venue - the reason the Venue is different from location, you can get inside and feel like are in a different location than watch is outside.

8. Price - Is it worth the asking? I don't care about affordability as much as is it worth what I am paying.

Normally, I don't include delivery because there are some many of my preferred categories. That is normally. Today isn't going to be normal.

Today for lunch, I ordered delivery from Tea Do. I ordered for the venue at 39th and Sansom. I never heard of the place before today. I found it on DoorDash. Although, when I saw how close it was I could have walked. The map has it in Hamilton Court. It appears it does all it's delivery via a normal channels. It appears to be a chain with the first to have opened on Spring Garden Street, a place called KenShin Diner. I have never been or heard it.

What motivated me to order was I saw bubble tea. Yeah, how simple is that. But there was something about this that moved my soul. Although, with the bubble tea I had a fried fish balls and shu mai (they call it a shrimp dumpling, but it puts me in mind of a shrimp toast). 

Everything was just so dayum fresh. 

Fresh and refreshing. I could taste everything. While they were small in serving, they were big in taste. I know I am going to order again.

The Bubble Tea:

Large

Kumquat

Aloe Vera

Green Tea Jelly

Lychee Jelly

Passion Fruit Pop

Tapioca Pearl

Now for the score:

Location: Unfortunately, I can not give a score for this because it was delivery. Yet the neighbor around it's location is comparable to the surrounding area.

Menu: Now I will grade the menu. I give it a five foodgasms. Sometimes these food venues just add too much to there delivery menus. I can be indecisive enough. I wonder what the menu is like when you go into the venue.

Customer Service: I can not give a grade for this either, because is was delivered by a third party.

Appearance: Because it was take out, how the food travels in it's containers is important to appeal. As you can see nothing was lost in transit. So I will give it a five foodgasms.

Smell: I give this a five foodgasms. The fish/seafood wasn't overwhelming and my bubble tea was well mixed. 

Taste: I give it a four foodgasms. I did not quite roll my eyes but it made me pause.

Venue: I can't give any points because it was a delivery.

Price: I will give four and a half foodgasms. I did this because while the meal was affordable, it might even be more affordable had I gone to the venue and not gotten it through one of the delivery apps.

So the of ALL Score is 23.5

I am going to have to make an actually visit, so I can get the full service feel. This can make a difference in the other scores. I still intend of eating from here again.

Yes, I am still having fun with Voila. 

It is making pictures of me that I was on the fence about favorites as cartoons. lol

Anyway, How the Hell are ya!

I am doing well. I still have a little residue from my mourning my friend. Of course, it is to be expected. 

You know I am looking at these cartoon versions of me and wondering why they always thin out my nose. Then I started to wonder is it me that perceives my nose to be bigger than what it is?

In my new position, I am around animals all day. I love it. Then animals anyway. Humans are always the challenge, lol. But we all has a passion for the animals. 

I am so glad this opportunity became available. I am happy in my training and the possibilities. Too much had happened at my previous location and I not the most forgiven after a certain point. It is apart of the stubbornness in me. 

A friend asked me why am I posting cartoon versions of me. I said folk can always find real life photos of me. The cartoon versions give me an opportunity to be all about the whimsy of me. I really don't take myself as seriously as some folk think I do or even should.

I want to thank you all for showing support of my mourning for my friend's recent passing. It means a lot.

I am forming a list of people I have found online to share here. So look for more non-personal post. 

I am working on some new content series, but I am going to change and do a series on death and life.

Hello Everyone, I am still thinking about my dear friend Kasim and his family. I decided not to post anything else yesterday because I just want to reflex. I was already thinking about missing his birthday to me and mine to him come next next year. His birthday was only a few days after mine. He was always in support of the things I tried to and am doing. We always cheered one another on and a shoulder when needed as well a voice of reality. I am going to miss him but I know part of him is still with me and just for me.

I can not plead enough to make sure we make the most of every opportune moment in life.

A little different countdown this year.

Last year, I kinda skipped my countdown. I let COVID preoccupy my thoughts like many others. Not this year!

The year before last, my countdown ended with me celebrating my half birthday which is November 1st. 

I want to do something this year, but I am still waiting and watching COVID.

My intention is to be here in Philly this year. Something small with grown, sexy and playful involved. I am not sure how many of you know but I am a big Princess and the Frog Remake fan. So I am thinking something along those lines. I am not talking a full on costume party, not enough time for that. A best mask, but I true costume not this year. Going to post a pre guest list maybe see what I am working with. 

It is hard for me to plan large events, I don't really mix my friends. I have a variety of friends and I know some would and should not mix. It will probably be all women. I love my fellas but y'all know why it has to be this way. lol

So while I meditate on that thought...

As I post the countdown, I am going to add some Halloween Trivia/Activity. I wanted to do something more than just post the countdown card. I like games. I just don't like people playing with me as if I am a game.

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope all is well. I have been in a mood. I can't be with the one I want, so I just want to be alone. 

I decided to start taking myself out again. Been holding off doing things because I want to do them with a certain person. Well fuck it. I will just do me.

There are a number of restaurants o want to go to and clothes I want to wear. Also, I don't feel like doing any compromising. 

I will certainly share my adventures here. My normal foodie column revisited. I am going to give a new title though. Judge everything in foodgasms. I will detail everything soon. 

So, I have been asked a few times about my relationship status...I am busy. Not truly single but not truly in a relationship either. To those that view things as either black or white, I know that answer is annoying but that is where I stand. Lol. Someone definitely has my heart's focus but there are obstacles that keep us apart. Now to my availability, well that is a different conversation. Lmao.

I like my little cartoon selfies. Even though they like to narrow my nose. Most times, I don't like really posting a lot of photos of myself but I know how visual people are. So this gives a little something for everyone. 

I missed having a place to be random. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok don't really do it for me anymore. Actually never did like having my own blog did/does. The social medias cater way too much to people's bad energy. They can't just scroll by if they don't like what they see. SMH. Not to mention, the subject matter is so repetitive. It is great when I need a distraction or want to be in contact with friends. 

But my blog is my home.

Bio Cards and Flash Sites

First, how is everyone and thank you for visiting. Aside from the being my personal blog, I share my business identities as well. 

I came back to a personal blog in the era of social media pages, due to the drama of social media. Whether it is people just out there to spread negativity or the tricks of the social media platforms. While, I am not planning on leaving these social media platforms because they do add to my visibility, I will be limiting what I put of me on there. I want to encourage a more interactive relationship again with those that follow me on the internet. I don't really embody what the social media platforms are looking for.

So...

I recently went live with my new Designs By ASH home. I took some time to scale back what I offer in services via my site. The major scale back is how many clients I will take a time, be it long term or short term. I prefer to be able to give the same level of performance and I proved to myself the first time around that I was not handling this in the best way for me. I learned it is okay to say no to an offer or request. People wanted to work with me because they liked me personally and I wanted to be there for them because of our relationship. When the best thing I could have done is refer them to someone more available at that time. 

Bio Card

Bio Cards are screenshots for whatever information you are trying to quickly convey. I like that they work well with story/animated post, especially for Facebook and Instagram. The generally measurement don't work with TikTok are the moment, but of course the measurements can be adjusted for such limitations.

 

Flash Card Sites

These work like the Bio Card but allow for more interactivity as well as more details. They shouldn't exceed more than one page. The focus is to still give a flash of information. Great to advertise specials and exclusives. Maybe you want to announce a special event but don't want to mix traffic with your personal social medias, etc. This is a great way to do this. The information will not get lost in your general feed. Also, sometimes you want to share things with people that should become followers of your personal pages. New Content Series

 

So I put My Favorite Dates Series on pause to revisit a previous series, 'To Show Me Love'.

I am going to start a Trivia Content Series shortly. I am going to be varied in the subject matter. Probably will be the only one I allow comments for on my social medias. 

Still working out my schedule, I can be consist here. Of course, real life has it demands. Lol.

Trying to get off this Love/Relationship Goal thing, I am giving folk the impression I am advertising my availability. lol. The vibe just has me here.

I have this other series that I suffered a bout of writer's block that I will also be revisiting. I am hoping to be able to wrapping this one up too in the next few months.

This was inspired by this NetFlix series and someone doing something heartbreaking. I have since recovered from the heartbreak. Lol.

Each frame of the story had two sentences. I did not write it ahead of time and I only did two sentences at a time. I pretty much let the pic and my feeling influence the words. 

I was always trying my hand at suspense writing. I have tried a few times, but I didn't like the way they were going. I was also in a very angry place at the time. I think I have one archived in my Facebook notes. I will find it and share it here. I don't think I will be able to revisit it to complete it but never know.

Yesterday was a good day.

How is everyone?

So yesterday, my former Site and Shift Supervisor invited me to come to Reading Terminal. And I accepted. At first we were just shopping. 

I got a few things. I got a small rabbit. I have decided I am going to cook in my air fryer.

I wanted this Truffled Mousse, but I forgot to go back to get it. 

We actually waited for the Terminal to open, so it gave us some time just to talk. We laughed about some things and vented about others. I brought them up to speed with what was going with me and vice verse. I realized how long it had been since I had seen either of them.

I enjoyed another day of my endurance feeling stronger. We really did not walk around much. We knew where we wanted to go. As we wrapped up the food shopping, which I am still not altogether settled on how I am preparing everything.

We got hungry and thirsty!

So we went to Molly Mallory's Kitchen and Bar. Although, they ran out of Guinness...we enjoyed it. I had there Guac BLT with homemade veggie chips. I got a nice warming with a few shots of Tequila and another dark beer that was suggests to be called Brawler. It was okay. I loved the sandwich. 

The best part of the world day was I didn't have any swelling. Of course, I was exhausted because I worked the night before touring and it was way past my normal bedtime. My body felt good.
